I’m tall and grand, with snow on my head,
The world’s highest peak — enough said.

Mount Everest

I stand alone in Japan’s embrace,
My perfect cone is a sacred place.

Mount Fuji

With four great faces carved in stone,
In South Dakota, I’m well known.

Mount Rushmore

I’m Italy’s fiery, ancient foe,

In Africa, I stand so high,
Snow on top, near equator sky.

My Rockies stretch with rugged hands.

I’m in the Alps with matter grand,
A pyramid shape, tall and stand.

Matterhorn

A mountain range that’s old and wise,
In the eastern U.S., I rise.

Appalachian Mountains

I rise in Tibet, sacred and tall,
Hindus and Buddhists to me call.

Mount Kailash

Volcano proud, in Washington state,
I erupted in ’80 with fiery fate.

Mount St. Helens

You’ll find me in Indonesia’s land,
A tourist trek that’s always grand.

Mount Bromo

My fame was born in Moses’ day,
On desert ground, I showed the way.

Mount Sinai

I split the sky in South America, wide,
My peaks stretch on the Andes side.

Andes Mountains

In Alaska’s frozen realm I rise,
The tallest peak in U.S. skies.

Denali/Mount McKinley

The mountain where Noah’s ark came to rest,
In Turkey’s land, I passed the test.

Mount Ararat

A volcano under watchful eye,
Hawaiian pride that touches sky.

Mauna Loa

I’m sacred in Greece, home of gods,
I hosted Zeus and lightning rods.

Mount Olympus

In Israel’s north, with snow and charm,
I stretch across Lebanon’s arm.

Mount Hermon

The Swiss Alps call me their tallest queen,
With icy slopes and silver sheen.

Dufourspitze

In East Africa, I quietly sleep,
But I hold magma in the deep.

Mount Kenya

I divide Europe and Asia’s land,
My range is mighty, strong and grand.

Ural Mountains

I tower in Antarctica’s icy throne,
The tallest peak where cold winds moan.

Mount Vinson
