I have numbers but I’m not a phone.
I help you plan but I’m not a map.

A Calendar

I come once a year, but I’m not your birthday.
I add one extra day when the time is right.
I help balance the years just right.

A Leap Year

I never walk, but I always move forward.
I don’t speak, but I tell you the date.
I change every day without fail.

A Calendar Page

I mark the end of a month, yet I change in length.
Sometimes I’m 28, sometimes I’m 31.
No matter what, I always come.

The Last Day of the Month

I arrive once a week, bringing you rest.
For many, I’m the best!
Work slows down, fun begins.

The Weekend

I have a name, but I’m not a person.
I come in sevens, but I’m not dice.
Each of me has a sun and a moon.

A Week

Though I have no hands, I still tell time.
I split the year in four, keeping it in line.
Winter, spring, summer, and fall.

The Four Seasons

I have twelve parts but I’m not a clock.
I help you plan but I’m not a to-do list.
I start with January and end with December.

A Year

I only exist once in four years.
Without me, February feels incomplete.

February 29th/Leap Day

Seven of us make a group,
We cycle on an endless loop.
Each of us has a special name,
And together, we’re always the same.

The Days of the Week

I signal the end of one year and the start of another.
People count down as I pass.
Fireworks light up the sky for me.

New Year’s Eve

Thirty days have I, but never more.
Except in a leap year, then I add one more.

February

Some say I’m unlucky, some say I’m not.
When I land on Friday, superstitions grow a lot.

The 13th of the Month

Without me, the seasons wouldn’t make sense.
I help divide the year into four.
I begin with Spring and end with Winter.

The Seasons

I come once a year, bringing cake and cheer.
Some count candles, some make a wish.

A Birthday

I’m a holiday, but my date changes each year.
I’m tied to the moon, so it’s never clear.
Egg hunts and flowers often appear.

Easter

I’m always the first of the year,
People celebrate when I am here.
With resolutions and a brand-new start,
I bring fresh hope to every heart.

January 1st/New Year’s Day

I am the shortest month of the year,
Sometimes I gain a day, but it’s rare.

February

I mark a special day of love,
With hearts and flowers from above.
I happen once on the 14th day,
In which month do I stay?

February/Valentine’s Day

When I arrive, the year is through,
People reflect on old and new.
Champagne and cheers fill the night,
What day am I, shining bright?

December 31st/New Year’s Eve

My name sounds like a plant, it’s true,
I’m the third month, let me give you a clue.
Spring begins when I appear,
And St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated here.

March

I always start on the same weekday as February,
Unless it’s a leap year, then that won’t be.
I’m known for pranks on my first day,
And sometimes showers come my way.

April

I mark the start of summer’s heat,
With long, warm days that can’t be beat.
School is out, vacations begin,
In which month do I fit in?

June

My number is seven, but I’m not lucky dice,
Fireworks and freedom make me nice.
In the USA, I’m a special time,
With stars and stripes that brightly shine.

July

I am known as the spooky time,
With costumes, tricks, and treats so fine.
When the 31st arrives, be aware,
Ghosts and goblins may give a scare!

October/Halloween

I am the last month of the year,
Bringing holiday joy and cheer.
With gifts and lights and songs so bright,
People celebrate on Christmas night.

December

I am the middle of the year,
With days so long and nights so clear.
Summer shines while I am here.

June

I am the first day of the workweek,
People groan when I appear.
After Sunday’s rest, I’m back again,

Monday

You’ll find me four times in a year,
I mark when the seasons change, that’s clear.
Winter, spring, summer, and fall,
I bring them in for one and all.

The Solstices and Equinoxes

I am the middle of the week,
People call me ‘hump day’ when I peak.
