I’m small, round, and white with stitches in red. I soar through the air and bounce off your head.

A Baseball

I’m made of leather, fit on your hand, I help you catch whatever’s been planned.

A Glove

I’m wooden or metal, I swing with might, I try to hit the ball just right.

A Bat

Three of me and you’re out, no doubt.

A Strike

You run to me but don’t stay long, touch me right and you move along.

A Base

I stand on a mound, I throw with force. I try to keep hitters off their course.

The Pitcher

I crouch and catch, I wear a mask. Handling fastballs is my task.

The Catcher

I travel far when I’m hit just right, fans cheer loudly at the sight.

A Home Run

You swing and miss, I shout with glee. One more of me and back to the bench you’ll be.

A Strike

I’m not a bird, but I fly with grace. If you catch me, I’ll end the race

A Fly Ball

I wear a uniform, I stand tall. I make the calls, I see it all.

The Umpire

I’m four of me on the ground, in a square, I form a round.

The Bases (Or Baseball Diamond)

You run to me to finish your quest, I’m the final stop and simply the best.

Home Plate

When I’m full, the team is glad. If I’m loaded, it’s not so bad.

The Bases (as in “Bases Loaded”)

I’m not a story, but I have a pitch. If I’m perfect, it’s quite the glitch.

A Perfect Game

I swing and connect, I’m on my way. But if you catch me, I can’t stay.

A Line Drive

You don’t want me behind you, but I’m part of the team. I help with runs—it’s not what it seems.

An Error

I wear cleats and swing a bat, I aim for hits and runs at that.

A Batter (or Hitter)

I’m the fence that ends the field, cross me fair, and glory’s sealed.

The Outfield Wall

I’m a number on a board, changing fast, keeping score.

The Scoreboard

I might pop up, or I might slide, I help your team get runs with pride.

A Hit

I’m not a thief, but I love to steal. I take a base and make it real.

A Stolen Base

I’m three little bags and a plate, if you run them all, it’s something great.

A Run

I can be a double, I can be a triple, but if I clear the wall, I’m quite a ripple.

A Home Run

My job’s to stop, not to score. I dive and catch and hustle more.

An Infielder (or Outfielder)
