I jingle in pockets, I clink in a jar, I’m often saved up, whether near or far.

A Coin

I’m paper or plastic, and I’m passed hand to hand, I’m worth something everywhere, in every land.

Money

The more you save me, the more I grow. But spend me fast, and off I go.

Savings

I tell how much, but I’m not a clock. I come in numbers, not a tick or a tock.

Price

Though I have no feet, I travel far and wide. In wallets I hide, yet can’t run or ride.

A Banknote (or Currency)

I’m the king of the dollar, I rule the U.S. vault. My face is green, and I’m used by default.

U.S. Dollar

I’m made of pounds but not heavy at all. In Britain I rise, in shops big or small.

Pound Sterling

I’m used by the French and the Germans too, across all Europe, in red, green, and blue.

Euro

In Japan I’m found, with coins and with note, To buy some sushi, I’m what you’ll tote.

Yen

In India I stay, with a ₹ sign to say, I’m rich in rupees, come spend me today.

Indian Rupee

A maple leaf might mark my face, I’m spent in a snowy place.

Canadian Dollar

I’m a currency with strength and pride, I come from China and stand with stride.

Yuan

In Switzerland, I stand tall and true, A franc with value, pure and blue.

Swiss Franc

I’m the peso, with countries to claim, From Mexico to Chile, I’m known by name.

Peso

I’m worth a lot and made of gold, I’m Bitcoin now, or so I’m told.

Cryptocurrency

I can be dirty, but you’ll still want me. I can be folded, but I’m not a tee.

Cash

The more you take away from me, the bigger I get—but if it’s my value, you’ll regret!

A Debt

You can’t see me, but banks know I’m there. I’m made of numbers and float in air.

Digital Currency

When I rise, you cheer. When I fall, you fear. I can crash without a car.

The Stock Market

I’m not a card, but I’m swiped a lot. I help you pay for things you’ve bought.

Credit Card

I keep your money, safe and sound. With vaults and codes, I’m always around.

A Bank

I’m not alive, yet I have accounts. I don’t eat, but I handle large amounts.

A Bank Account

I earn you interest when you save, but if you borrow, I can enslave.

Interest Rate

I’m your score, but not in a game. I tell lenders your financial name.

Credit Score

I’m the art of counting coins and cents, Making sure each dollar makes sense.
