I wear a coat as white as snow,
I roam where icy winds do blow.
Swimming strong in waters cold,
In the Arctic, I am bold!
I have a hump upon my back,
My claws are sharp, I’m built to attack.
A mighty roar, I hunt with might,
In forests and mountains, I’m quite the sight!
Though my name may fool you so,
My fur’s not always black, you know!
I climb up trees with skill and grace,
And berries are my favorite taste!
I munch on bamboo every day,
In China’s forests, I love to stay.
With black eye patches, round and sweet,
A cuter bear you’ll never meet!
I carry my cubs upon my back,
I love to snack on termite snacks.
In India’s land, I roam with pride,
With shaggy fur, my claws are wide!
I’m the smallest of my kind,
A golden patch you’ll always find.
I love to climb and eat sweet honey,
In tropical lands so warm and sunny!
In South America, I make my home,
Through misty mountains, I love to roam.
Around my eyes, my marks are bright,
Like spectacles, they shine so white!
I’m the biggest of my kind,
In Alaskan lands, I’m hard to find.
My strength is great, my size immense,
A giant bear with great defense!
Through deserts dry, I roam alone,
In Mongolia, I’ve made my home.
My kind is rare, so few remain,
Protecting us is our campaign!
From Europe’s forests, mountains high,
I watch the world with careful eye.
My fur is thick, my strength is great,
A powerful beast, I hibernate!
A coat so rare, a bluish hue,
High in Tibet, I live with few.
I’m seldom seen, my kind is shy,
Through mountain winds, I wander by.
In Russia’s lands, I make my stay,
Japan and China aren’t far away.
Larger than most, yet still unseen,
My fur is dark, with golden sheen.
A ghostly sight within the trees,
A white bear wandering with the breeze.
Though black bears share my family line,
My fur is pale, a rare design!
Long ago, I roamed the land,
A giant beast, so tall I stand!
My face was short, my legs so strong,
But now, I’m gone—extinct so long!
